Nitesh, Kislay, Krishna: Thanks for the good words. We have to popularise the Hindu Wisdom site. Pls do mention it somewhere in your blogs or make it a sticky.

I know of some Westerners who read this site and were so impressed with the tenets of Hinduism that they became Hindus and began to read Upanishads and Gita in original. Ditto with alienated and westernised Hindu youngsters who were shocked to read the good words that intellectual elite of the West had said about Hinduism (while they were led to believe that Hinduism with its caste and cow was the pits of the earth).

Let us leave no opportunity to publicise this site. The external valdiation it offers to Hindus will do wonders to bring back their pride in their civiliation.

Sanjay,

Thanks a million for the link to Hindu Wisdom. I've read the quotes there relating to the caste system and conversions, and they truly are awesome. I agree that every Hindu with an inferiority complex (and there are many of them) should be pointed over to that site. Sushama Londhe is truly an awesome person.

/// One can only imagine that if this heritage had belonged to Westerners, how they would have gone about beating drums to its glory in front of the rest of the world and how they would have argued that this proved their race was on a different level of evolution altogether. Indians are indeed poor salesmen.

Nice, you really hit the nail on the head :)

Bravo ! Thank you . I will make a point that at least those misled youth you talk about read this post . "Because of low self-esteem that usually comes from being a conquered race, Hindus have developed a habit of seeking external validation about their identity and culture (especially from Westerners)" . I realized this quite some time ago . Thank you !
